Hi, I’m Mike.
Engineer, photographer, dog dad, whiskey appreciator.
My passion? Figuring out what makes things tick. I learn new hobbies all the time and some even stick around.
Travel, photography, writing, tinkering in code, building home labs- you’ll find a mix of everything here and probably more. I haven’t done a home renovation in …forever. I’m overdue.

My photography is somewhat scattered; I use Smugmug for a storefront but Flickr/Instagram are where most of it lives.
Making things
Problems turn into projects.
Sometimes I build something because the tools I’m using don’t quite answer the question I have. Training Atlas started that way: I had health and training data, but no bigger picture. Switching apps meant losing history, and I wanted more useful analytics.
I’m sharing what I’m building, why it exists, and what I’m learning along the way.
