FAQ

What is this site?

This site is my personal website.   There’s not a whole lot to see here really, other than some hiking guides, fairly awesome photography, book reviews, and a whole host of computer/geek related projects.

Is this a blog?

Yes.. and no.  I don’t update daily (hell, or monthly) and I don’t talk about day to day stuff- it’s more magazine / columnist style than anything, with a few random tidbits thrown in.  There are stories from various parts of my life that tend to make it in though.

So what purpose does it serve, anyway?

I suppose technically it’s part of my official “online” resume.  It’s the public me instead of say, a MySpace page.

I think your site is neat / your resume impresses me / can I hire you?

Maybe!  Like most folks, I have a day to day job, but I’m always taking the occasional consulting / contracting gig, depending on what it is.  I don’t do much web design however, as I can hardly make MY site look like I want, much less anyone elses.  I work with a few other talented folks via Tatersalad to provide custom Wordpress solutions, but it’s mostly technical / backend type work more than design and pretty pictures.

If you’re looking for IT contract/consulting work instead- use the contact form up top and we’ll talk.

I like/love/hate your photography. Do you sell any of it? Where can I see more?

Not yet. I did a few books for family via Blurb, and I had a store front up on Imagekind for a while.  These will be revitalized as I take more pictures.  Also, definitely check out the Photo Gallery up top, as it pulls from my archives on Flickr.  My more “professional” pictures won’t be there,  and will only previewable here / purchaseable through Blurb/Imagekind or some other affiliate.

In the meantime, you can always bookmark this link as anything I post to the site will appear there.  It should be on the Archives page too when I add a sort by tag feature.
